When you use VENTUREPLAN, we collect data necessary to provide our services: • Account data: name, email address, password (hashed) • Business plan content: text, financial data, and uploaded files you create within the platform • Usage data: pages visited, features used, timestamps • Technical data: browser type, operating system, IP address (anonymized after 30 days)
We use your data exclusively to: • Provide and improve the VENTUREPLAN service • Authenticate your account and manage sessions • Process your business plan content for AI feedback (when you request it) • Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, collaboration invites) • Analyze aggregated, anonymized usage patterns to improve the product We never sell your personal data to third parties.
VENTUREPLAN uses the following cookies: • Essential cookies: session authentication token (required for the app to function) • Analytics cookies: Plausible Analytics (privacy-focused, no personal data collected, EU-hosted) • Marketing cookies: Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing (only with your consent) • Preference cookies: theme and language settings You can manage your cookie preferences at any time.
We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics tool that does not use cookies for tracking, does not collect personal data, does not track users across websites, is hosted in the EU, and is fully GDPR compliant. Plausible collects only aggregated page view data with no personally identifiable information.
When you use our AI feedback feature, your business plan content is sent to AWS Bedrock (Claude by Anthropic) for processing. This data is processed only to generate feedback for your specific request, is not used to train AI models, is not stored by the AI provider after processing, is transmitted via encrypted connections, and is processed in EU data centers (eu-central-1, Frankfurt). AI feedback is an optional feature — your content is never shared with AI services without your explicit action.
VENTUREPLAN is hosted on infrastructure within the European Union. Your data is stored in databases located in Germany. All data transmission is encrypted via TLS/SSL. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration.
We use the following third-party services: • Hosting provider: application and database hosting (EU) • AWS Bedrock: AI feedback processing (EU — Frankfurt) • Plausible Analytics: anonymized usage statistics (EU) • Google Ads: conversion tracking and remarketing (only with marketing cookie consent; data may be processed in the US under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) • SMTP provider: transactional emails • Stripe: payment processing (Pro subscriptions only) All providers are bound by data processing agreements in compliance with GDPR.
We retain your data as follows: • Account data: until you delete your account • Business plan content: until you delete the plan or your account • Uploaded files: until you delete them or your account • AI conversation history: until you delete the conversation or your account • Server logs: 30 days • Analytics data: aggregated, no personal data retained When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure ("right to be forgotten"), restriction of processing, data portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at datenschutz@ventureplan.de. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. The responsible authority for Berlin is the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the platform. The date at the top of this page indicates when it was last updated.
